The book of Acts tells the story of the Apostles, messengers whom Jesus sent into the world to proclaim the good news that we can be saved from our sins by what Jesus has done for us. We hear about the mighty acts of the Holy Spirit that God did through the apostles. Wherever they went, people believed and formed churches, that is, groups of people who love each other and worship God through Jesus Christ. Acts is the story of the church, its birth, its growth, its trials, and its lessons for today.
