This gives the account of the prophet Jonah, whom God called to preach repentance to the rebellious people of the great city of Ninevah. But Jonah had some of his own repenting to do, and he wa s swallowed by a great fish. He eventually made it to Ninevah, where the people did repent and Jonah learned about God’s mercy.
